Post Midnight Musings

I first started blogging about law school six years ago, when I was about to graduate from college. I was preparing to enter law school.

Two days ago, I passed the bar. How time flies.

I have been finding myself in deep thought. I don't know what to do next. I should be elated right now. I PASSED THE BAR! But I feel neutral. Of course I'm happy I passed, but why have I not cried tears of joy yet? Maybe it's the lockdown, maybe it's hormones. I don't know. But I should be jumping for joy.

With these thoughts running through my mind, remembering this blog's existence is helpful. I get to visit the past. I get to read the thoughts of a young girl who dreamt to be in my place right now.

She was hopeful to graduate from college. She was hopeful to get into law school and graduate. She was hopeful to become a lawyer. And yet here she is years later. In front of a screen and confused, with no concrete plans for the future.

What will she do next? Who knows. But maybe after a few years, when she remembers this blog again, we'll see.

Four Years

Three hours past midnight, I found myself thinking about how my life has unfolded over the years. Then I remembered this blog.

My last post was published on 6 February 2016. I was a second year law student back then. On 12 February 2016, I caught myself in an unprecedented circumstance. I was "kicked out" of Ateneo Law School for failing to meet the grade requirement. I did not appeal.

Now it's 1 May 2020*. I just passed the 2019 Bar Examinations.

(I have been keeping a private journal where I write my thoughts using a fountain pen. It just felt that this update is imperative now that I remember this blog.)
